Points of Excellence
- Our ESE department has 15 tenured or tenure track faculty members of whom 5 are IEEE Fellows, including 2 IEEE Life Fellows.
- Our faculty lead multi-university Federal research grants, including MURI.
- The ranking of ESE moved up 4 points in US News and World Report of 2008.
- The School of Medicine of Washington University is ranked 3rd in the nation, and overall college is ranked 12th in US News and World Report of 2008.
- Our alumni are successful:
- Two alumni are faculty members at UIUC, two at Georgia Tech, two at Carnegie Mellon University, one at Harvard, and others also in leading universities.
- Three alumni are now Deans of Engineering.
- Several are founders or CEO's of companies.
- Leaders in national labs, including Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, MIT Lincoln Lab.
